MEHC Board Member: Gail Napell
Gail is a Citizen at Large focused on inclusive climate adaptation. She has 45 years of experience as a licensed architect on projects across the globe at scales from woodshed to master plan, primarily focused on sustainability, climate adaptation and inclusive design. She moved to Marin County in 1999, ran her own architecture firm here until 2011, then worked at Gensler as a Sustainability Director until her retirement in 2023. Gail is an active member of the San Rafael Sea Level Rise Adaptation Project Technical Advisory Group, frequent volunteer at the City and County levels, and passionate advocate for inclusion of people with disabilities. She lives with her husband in San Rafael, California.
